The Rissler Elementary School PTO Carnival and Basket Auction will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 9 at the school.
The event will help raise funds for a variety of items at the school, including the purchase of a sound system for the gymnasium. Tickets for each game will be 50 cents and among the activities planned for this year?s event are the bounce house, giant inflatable slide, sponge toss, hoop shoot, duck pond, face painting, miniature golf, tatoo parlor, soccer bowl, fish pond, football game and a hat walk. Concessions to be offered include hot dogs, chili dogs, pop, water, popcorn and cotton candy.
Information has been sent home to students about the various gift baskets that will be offered during a silent auction and parents are reminded to send those items to school on Friday, May 2, if they have not already done so. For more information about the basket auction, persons may contact Tracy Utley at 359-3150 or Lisa Fuller at 359-4647. Melissa Purkapile, PTO president, is coordinating the carnival.
