Dr. Herb Craig, a 62-year-old resident of Rome, GA and former Trenton physician, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from injuries he sustained in a four-wheeler accident at his farm near Rome.

Dr. Herb Craig, a 62-year-old resident of Rome, GA and former Trenton physician, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from injuries he sustained in a four-wheeler accident at his farm near Rome.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family plot at the Coon Creek Cemetery.

Dr. Craig, a 62-year-old resident of Rome, GA and former Trenton physician, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from injuries he sustained in a four-wheeler accident at his farm near Rome.
Dr. Craig was born in Chillicothe on June 1, 1941, the son of Herbert and V. Eulalia Herrin Craig. He was a 1958 graduate of Chillicothe High School and was a graduate of Kansas State University, where he received his bachelor of science degree in 1962 and his medical degree in 1966. Dr. Craig was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Southern Turkey from 1968 through 1970.
Dr. Craig served his orthopedic residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1971 until 1974, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from 1974 until 1977. He practiced medicine in Missouri until 1992, when he moved to Rome and joined the Harbin Clinic.
Dr. Craig was a member of the Mt. Berry United Methodist Church.
Dr. Craig is survived his wife, Karen Craig of Rome; one daughter, Dana Craig-Persinger of Portage, MI; one son, Deric Craig of Battle Creek MI; and one granddaughter, Claire Persinger of Portage.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
