Trenton High School has named its Students of the Quarter for the third quarter.
The freshman is Ashten Witten. She is the daughter of Tom and Kim Witten. Among her high school activities are softball, basketball, track, FFA and concert choir. She has been named to the A honor roll. She is a member of the First Baptist Church.
Megan Wyant is the sophomore honoree. She is the daughter of Brent and Jackie Wyant. She is a member of the marching, pep and concert bands, FFA and the volleyball team. She attends the Grundy County Church of Christ.
The junior is Jamie Leafgreen. She is the daughter of Rick and Tammy Leafgreen. She is a member of the show choir, National Honor Society and the volleyball team and was named to the A honor roll. She is a member of the Assembly of God Church, where she participates in church choir, youth group and church/power volleyball. She is also employed at Hy-Vee.
Recognized as the senior honoree is Jessica Bye. She is the daughter of Doug and Jaci Thorburn. She has been in colorguard for four years and is a member of FBLA, FTA (where she serves as president) and the volleyball team. She is in National Honor Society and has been named to the A honor roll.
Students are chosen by the faculty using the selection criteria of citizenship, leadership, participation and academics. A student can earn the honor only once during their high school career.
