James M. ?Jim? Clark, a 71-year-old resident of the Spickard community, died at 5:10 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, where he had been a patient since March 17, 2003.

James M. ?Jim? Clark, a 71-year-old resident of the Spickard community, died at 5:10 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, where he had been a patient since March 17, 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2003, at the South Evans Christian Church located northeast of Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2003, at the Resthaven Mortuary. Burial will be in the South Evans Cemetery.

Mr. Clark was born on Aug. 21, 1931, on a farm west of Spickard, the son of Forrest and Ethel Hamilton Clark. He was raised in the Spickard community and was married to Helen Baker on JUly 23, 1950 in Trenton. They farmed their entire married lives on farms in the Trenton and Spickard communities. In addition to farming, Mr. Clark was as lifelong member of the John Deere Two Cylinder Club and also sang on a gospel music program from 1960 to 1962 airing on KTTN radio station at Trenton. The Clark Family Gospel Blue Grass also toured the Midwest states for several years in the late 1980?s.

Mr. Clark was member of the South Evans Christian Church, where he was an elder, and served on the South Evans Cemetery board, the MFA board and the Grand River Mutual Telephone Company board for 21 years.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Helen Clark, of the home near Spickard; two daughters, Cheryl Moore and her husband, Danny, of Trenton, and Rhonda Moore and her husband, Bob, of Amazonia; two brothers, Paul Clark of Spickard and Doyle Clark of Corydon, IA; two sisters, Allie Finney of Cainsville,and Annie Snyder of Lineville, IA; three grandchildren, Kristi Critten and Keri Gott of Trenton and Tanner Moore of Amazonia; and three great-grandchildren, Gavin Griffin, Clark Critten and Lexi Gott.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by a sister, Arnetta Richardson; and three brothers, Hubert, Raphael and George Clark.
