Carl Dean Hale, a 76-year-old resident of Jamesport died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2003, at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Memorial Cemetery at Jamesport, under the direction of McWilliams Family Funeral Home. General visitation began today (Friday, March 21, 2003) at the funeral home, with a family visitation scheduled one hour prior to the services.

Mr. Hale was born May 8, 1926, the son of John Edwin and Cleta May Beard Hale. He was married to Carol Shuler on July 2, 1955 in Jamesport. He owned and operated an auto body and mechanic shop in Jamesport for 26 years, retiring in 1988. He coached pony league baseball for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church.

Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; two sons, Jeff Hale and Gordon Hale, both of Jamesport; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Hale Jr. and Marvin Hale; and one sister, Wanda.
