The Child Growth and Development classes at Trenton High School will again offer its lab school for preschool children, beginning April 11.
The philosophy of the program is to emphasize independent thinking and problem solving. The program provides a wide variety of activities for six learning centers – arts and crafts, blocks, language and learning, manipulative, science and nature and dramatic play. High school students guide children in selecting and completing activities appropriate to their abilities and interests.
The focus of the 2003 school will be on computer skills, with children having the opportunity to work with computer programs during each lab. The program is open to any child ages three to six and parents can select which block they wish to sign their child up for or they can be signed up for both blocks.
Block 4 will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on April 15, 23 and 29 and May 7 and 13. Block 5 will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. on April 11, 17 and 25 and May 1 and 9. For more information, persons can contact Connie Hoffman at the high school, 359-2291.
