Two Trenton High School seniors will play key roles in this spring?s Trenton Acting Guild Dinner Theater Production of ?Caught in the Net.?

Catie Powell and Eric Lorenz will play Vicki and Gavin, teenagers who meet on the Internet in the two-act comedy, which will be presented March 21 and 22 at Pleasant View R-6 School. While the two are anxious to meet, Vicki?s father (Gary Peterson) and his friend, Stanley (Tom Powell) do their best to thwart the meeting.

Miss Powell, the daughter of Tom and Deanna Powell, is involved in concert choir and show choir and is in her eighth year of performing with TAG. Among her favorite roles are the narrator in ?Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,? Dotties Duncan in ?The Soapy Murder Case,? and MJ in ?Inspector Carol.? Following graduation, Miss Powell plans to attend Culver-Stockton College, majoring in either theater or Arts Management.

Lorenz is the son of Jan and Larry Lorenz and his family also includes his dog, Stinkerbell. He is a member of the THS Show Choir, for which he serves as president, concert choir, Future Teachers of America, Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society. Lorenz has been involved with TAG for four years and says the role of Arthur Humphrey in ?See How They Run? has been his favorite role.

Tickets for the grilled pork loin and chicken breast dinner and play are on sale now at Hoffman and Reed, north store, and Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children age 12 and under. Tickets for the dinner, which begins at 6 p.m., must be purchased in advance.
