Leo “Myrl” Wilson, an 82-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron.

Leo “Myrl” Wilson, an 82-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron.

Funeral services and Masonic services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe.

There will be a scheduled family visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Lindley Funeral Home. Friends may call after 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson was born in Spickard on May 17, 1920, the son of Leo L. and Cliffe Lavern Bell Wilson. On April 12, 1945 he married Frances Wagner in Louisville, KY. She survives of the home. He was a 1939 graduate of Spickard High School. He served in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946, spending most of his time in Okinawa during World War II. He worked for Cooke Sales and Service for 46 years as the parts manager. He was a member of the Vern R. Glick Post No. 25 American Legion, Friendship Lodge No. 89 AF & AM at Chillicothe, Moila Shrine Temple of St. Joseph, York Rite Body of St. Joseph and the Chillicothe Shrine Club, where he was a former president and a member of the Rollin’ Rascals.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wilson is survived by one son, Richard M. Wilson of Chillicothe; one daughter, Sally J. Gilliam and her husband, Charlie, of Chillicothe; one grandson, Reilly Gilliam of Chillicothe; one sister, Doris L. Davis of Shell Knob; and one nephew, Donnie Davis and his wife, Vivian, of Shell Knob.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Lester Davis.
