The Laredo R-7 School recently held its spelling bee, with winners qualifying to compete at the Grundy County Spelling Bee at Trenton Middle School on March 4 at 4 p.m.
Winners in the eight grade were Brittany Lynch and Nicole Bowers with Kari Shiflett as the alternate. The seventh grade winners were Deanna Peck and Chris Lightner. Winners in the sixth grade were Jessi Carpenter and Corey Holloway.
