Joanne McArtor, a 67-year-old resident of Independence, died of congestive heart failure on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines, IA. Burial was in the Waukee Cemetery in Waukee, IA.
Mrs. McArtor was born in Trenton and had lived in New Market, IA, California and Waukee before moving to Independence seven years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Living Water Ministries Center in Independence. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and dining out.
Mrs. McArtor is survived by three daughters, Patricia Crag Hutson of Independence, Janice Jorn of Fresno, CA and Diane Mosley of West Sacramento, CA; one brother, Dale “Brownie” Ream of Denver, CO; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McArtor was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McArtor Jr.
