The Harrison County R-4 Board of Education approved administrative contracts and accepted a resignation during a meeting Thursday night at the school in Gilman City.
Superintendent David Cross said the board offered contracts to both himself and principal Jason Tolen for the 2003-2004 school year. Salaries are to be determined at a later time. The board also accepted the resignation of ag teacher Dan Buckman, effective at the end of the school year.
Cross reviewed financial issues concerning the 2002-2003 school budget and reported that tax receipts for this year total $181,410, which is close to the total received at the same time a year ago. Approval was given for an early out at 12:45 p.m on Feb. 21 for a teacher in-service workshop.
Cross announced that incumbents Phil Griffith and Pam Burrows are the only two persons who have filed for the board election on April 8. Filings will be accepted until Jan. 21. Two three-year terms are to be filled.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Feb. 20.
