Katherine Hill Boone, an 81-year-old resident of Springfield, IL and formerly of the East Coast and Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Home in Springfield.

Katherine Hill Boone, an 81-year-old resident of Springfield, IL and formerly of the East Coast and Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Home in Springfield.
The body was cremated. Private family services will be held at Staab Polk Memorial Home in Chatham, IL. Rev. Bill Riggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Mrs. Boone was born in Humphreys on Aug. 1, 1921, the daughter of Paul and Lora Glaze Hill. She married Allen Franklin Boone on Feb. 16, 1944. She worked as a bookkeeper for a car dealership in the Washington D.C. area. She was a member of the Christian Chruch, Disciples of Christ.
Mrs. Boone is survived by two sons, Stanley Boone and his wife, Cindy, of Davidsonville, MD and Steven Boone of North Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Lora Boone and Paul Boone of Davidsonville, MD; one sister, Jean Riggs of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Franklin Boone, on Aug. 6, 2002; her parents; and one brother, R.A. Hill.
