Nettie E. Fewin, a 102-year-old resident of Laredo, passed away at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003.

Nettie E. Fewin, a 102-year-old resident of Laredo, passed away at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Laredo. Burial will be in the Richardson Cemetery in Laredo.
There is no scheduled family visitation. General visitation is in progress until 9 p.m. today (Monday, Jan. 6, 2003) and from 8 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the Lindley Funeral Home in Laredo.
Mrs. Fewin was born on Dec. 23, 1900 near Edinburg, the daughter of John P. and Mary Dudley Fewin. She graduated from the Loretta Academy of Kansas City in 1923. In 1925, she graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a degree in business administration. She took nursing training at the Methodist Hospital in Kansas City, KS in 1927. She was employed by Sargents and Sargents Building Hardwares in New Haven, CT from 1938 until 1943. Following her employment there, she worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City until 1948. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and went through Rebekah Circle in Kincade, KS.
Mrs. Fewin is survived by one cousin, Kate VanDyke of Laredo.
