The Grundy County Nursing Home Board of Directors met Tuesday night, discussing employee benefits and bids for pharmacy service.

Sunnyview Nursing Home Administrator Denella Marlay said a questionnaire had been distributed, asking employees about what benefits they would be most interested in as the board prepares for the next fiscal year. Mrs. Marlay said the answers were evenly split between health insurance and salary increases. The board will continue discussion on the matter.

The board discussed letting bids for a company to provide pharmacy service at the nursing home. A presentation on updating the hot water system will be given to the board in an effort to decide whether or not work needs to be done. The board was told an open house and Christmas tea would be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.

The filing dates for the nursing home district election in April have been set for Dec. 24 to Jan. 21. The three-year terms of Jennifer Stickler and John McCullough expire.

The next meeting of the board is scheduled for Jan. 14.
