Mrs. Maxine L. Searcy, an 88-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Nov. 21, 2002.

Mrs. Maxine L. Searcy, an 88-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Nov. 21, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be held in the Martin Cemetery, located north of Trenton.
Open visitation is in progress at the funeral home.
Mrs. Searcy was born on Jan. 26, 1914 in Grundy County, the daughter of Roy and Woodie Profitt Renfro. She was first married to James Howard Neff. On Nov. 23, 1962, she was married to Donald Searcy at Chillicothe. Mrs. Searcy, who was raised around Trenton, had formerly been employed at the Cullers Hospital and the Plaza Hotel. They had lived in Hemphill, TX before returning to the Trenton area in April 1997.
Mrs. Searcy is survived by her husband, Donald Searcy, of the home near Trenton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Colleen Neff of Des Moines, IA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Searcy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronnie Neff; one brother, Eugene Renfro; and one grandson.
