Norman Ray Griffith, a 70-year-old resident of Braymer, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City.

Norman Ray Griffith, a 70-year-old resident of Braymer, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at the Braymer Church of Christ.

General visitation is in progress and will be held from 8 a.m until service time on Saturday at the Pitt’s Funeral Home in Braymer, where the family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. this evening (Friday, Nov. 29, 2002).

Mr. Griffith was born on Sept. 3, 1932, the son of Howell Webster and Ivy Farrow Bunch Griffith. On Aug. 30, 1957 he married Myra June Smith. She survives of the home. He was a grain and livestock farmer all of his life. He served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War. He was a lifelong resident of the Braymer area. He was a member of the Braymer Church of Christ.

Mr. Griffith is survived by one son, Daniel Marc Griffith of Braymer; three daughters, Dana Rae Marshall of La Plata, Margaret Griffith Lesnak of St. Joseph and Nancy Gayle Boeding of Moberly; one brother, Clifford Lee Griffith of Dawn; seven grandchildren, David, Jonathan and Emily Marshall, Amanda and Marc Griffith and Matthew and Michael Boeding.

Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron. These may be left at or mailed to the Pitt’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 247, Braymer, MO 64624.
