The North Central Missouri College Board of Trustees and NCMC Foundation Board of Directors held a joint meeting Thursday night, reviewing a campus master plan being prepared for the college by a St. Louis firm.

Carlene Nolan-Pederson of Parsons, Harden and Bartholomew reviewed the plan, which includes both a 10- to 15-year plan as well as a 30-year projection as to what the campus might resemble. The 10- to 15-year plan includes renovation of the current Geyer Hall building as well as construction of new academic buildings, a student union area, a performing arts center and green space. Additional classrooms, new dormitories, athletic fields and maintenance buildings are among other items on the 30-year plan. The plan is basically the same as had been presented to the board at a meeting earlier this month.

Ms. Nolan-Pederson will develop the final plan and bring it back to the Board of Trustees for its approval at the December board meeting.

In other business, it was decided that a joint meeting of the board of trustees and foundation board would be scheduled, with the date to be announced later. Bruce Constant, treasurer of the foundation, also invited board members to attend a meeting of the foundation?s Investments Committee, planned for Dec. 5.
