Forrest D. Overton, an 84-year-old resident of the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002 at the care center, where he had resided since Oct. 31, 2002.

Forrest D. Overton, an 84-year-old resident of the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002 at the care center, where he had resided since Oct. 31, 2002.

Arrangements are pending at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton.

Mr. Overton was born and reared at West Point, IA on Feb. 8, 1918, the son of Frank S. and Pearl E. Thomas Overton. He had farmed most of his adult life in the Donnellson, IA area. On Feb. 24, 1941, he was married to V. Pauline Ellis at Fort Madison, IA. She preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 1968. On Nov. 28, 1969, he was married to Lydia G. Faatz at Minneapolis, MN. She preceded him in death on June 29, 1996. After his marriage to Lydia, they lived in Florida before moving to Colorado. After her death, he returned to Fort Madison, where he resided until he married Marjorie Frantz Senf on Dec. 26, 1998 at Trenton. He had resided in Trenton since that time. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Trenton.

Mr. Overton is survived by his wife, Marjorie Overton of the home in Trenton; one daughter, Gloria Emmenecker of Wisconsin; four step-sons, David Senf of Wild Wood, IL and Allan, Larry and Paul Faatz; nine step-daughters, Bonnie Poe of Atlanta, GA, Melody Murray of Beuna Vista, GA, Nancy Adams and Susan McNerney, both of Lake Ozark and Barbara Cox of Trenton, Deloris Sullivan, Elaine Walker, Nancy Erickson and Betty Bjornlie.

In addition to his first two wives, Mr. Overton was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Rene Meyers and Romona Overton; and one step-son, Tim Senf.

The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God in Trenton.
