Frances E. Beckner, a 75-year-old resident of 702 Haliburton St., Trenton, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 11, 2002 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Frances E. Beckner, a 75-year-old resident of 702 Haliburton St., Trenton, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 11, 2002 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Miss Beckner was born on Feb. 22, 1927 in Dunlap, the daughter of Loren and Jessie Ruth Rains Beckner. She attended Laredo schools and graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City. She then graduated from Trenton Junior College in Trenton and then went to business college in Kansas City. She lived in Dunlap, Laredo, Kansas City and then Trenton. She worked in the insurance business in Kansas City and then in Trenton worked for McCullough Insurance, as a clerk at the Plaza Hotel and for Bowyer Real Estate. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton, where she had been Sunday School secretary. She was also a member of the Pi Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi of Trenton and was a former member of Sweet Adelines of Trenton.
Miss Beckner is survived by her mother, Ruth Beckner of the home; two aunts, Wilma McAtee of Trenton and Fern Rains of Dunlap; and two uncles, Claude Rains of La Mesa, CA and Marvin Rains and his wife, Elaine, of Spickard.
Miss Beckner was preceded in death by her father on Feb. 22, 1980.
