Four Trenton High School students have featured roles in the Trenton Acting Guild production of ?Inspecting Carol,? a two-act holiday farce to be presented later this month.

Seniors Catie Powell and Eric Lorenz play founding members of the Soapbox Playhouse, a ramshackle professional company whose production of ?A Christmas Carol? desperately needs to pass an inspection. Miss Powell is the daughter of Tom and Deanna Powell and is a veteran of several TAG productions, including playing the title role of Cinderella in last summer?s production as well as serving as narrator in ?Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.?

Lorenz is the son of Larry and Jan Lorenz and has also appeared in several TAG shows, including ?See How They Run? and ?Guys and Dolls.?

Junior Aidan Stevenson will play the business manager of the company. The son of Bill Stevenson and Patti Tiffany, Stevenson plays the guitar and drum and was memorable in his Elvis/Pharaoh role in ?Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.?

John Sampson is also a junior at THS and is the son of Ann and Kerry Sampson. He will play a visitor who wants to audition for a role in the company. Sampson?s favorite role is that of Vinnie in ?The Odd Couple.?

?Inspecting Carol? will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and Nov. 23, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Hoover Theater, located on the third floor of the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library. Tickets are available at the Ketcham Community Center on the North Central Missouri College campus or by calling 359-6229. Seating is limited to 136.
