The North Central Missouri College Booster Club has agreed to spearhead a campaign to purchase a bus for the college, which can be used for athletic trips as well as college departmental travels.

During an organizational meeting held last week, the club set a goal of $25,000 and it is the plan to raise all of the dollars outside of college financing. Pledges and contributions may be given to Foundation Director Steve Maxey or Booster Club President Don Altes.

Officers of the booster club include Don Altes as president and Gary Jones as vice president. Dues are $25 for individuals and $40 for a couple/family.

The NCMC basketball home opener is Friday night as the men?s and women?s teams host William Penn College JV. Fans are encouraged to wear red and black as part of the college spirit week activities and the first Family Weekend events on campus. There will be no admission charged to the games.

Members of the booster club will be taking membership dues at the game as well as donations to the bus. Additional information about the bus or any other booster club activities may be obtained by contacting Altes, Maxey or NCMC Interim Dean of Students Joanna Anderson.
