Irene Leeper, a 104-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home, passed away at 2:20 a.m. this morning (Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002) at the nursing home. She had been a resident of Sunnyview since Nov. 2, 1992.

Irene Leeper, a 104-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home, passed away at 2:20 a.m. this morning (Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002) at the nursing home. She had been a resident of Sunnyview since Nov. 2, 1992.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Rev. Jerry Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg.
There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mrs. Leeper was born on Oct. 28, 1897 west of Spickard, the daughter of Levi and Polly Louvisa Field Arney. She was married to Claude Estel Leeper on May 21, 1924 in Edinburg. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Leeper lived most of their lives in the Edinburg community. They moved into Trenton in 1965. She was a member of the Dockery Chapel United Methodist Church and the Edinburg Extension Club.
Mrs. Leeper is survived by one daughter, Norma Grindstaff of Trenton; one son, Jim Leeper of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Beulah Good of Trenton; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leeper was preceded in death by her parents and one great-granddaughter, Stacy Phillips.
