William Rex Brown, a 90-year-old resident of Trenton, passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, where he had been a resident since Sept. 12, 2002.

William Rex Brown, a 90-year-old resident of Trenton, passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, where he had been a resident since Sept. 12, 2002.
Funeral services are pending at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton.
Mr. Brown was born on April 3, 1912 in Spickard, the son of Clyde and Josie Wyatt Brown. He married Frances Brassfield on June 1, 1935. He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Lincoln Township. He was a member of the Honey Creek Chapel Christian Church.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Frances, of the home; three children, William Robert Brown and his wife, Joni, of Collinsville, OK, Doris Jean Tapscott and her husband, Ron, of Franklin, TN and Kenneth Ray Brown and his wife, Donna, of Kearney; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; his grandfather, Davy Wyatt; two brothers, Wendell and Denver; one half-sister, Pauline Thogmartin Gale; and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Wright Memorial Hospice, 110 Linn, Trenton, MO 64683. These may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
