Absentee ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election are now available in the Grundy County Clerk?s Office.
County Clerk L.D. Gibson said the ballots must be voted by 5 p.m., Nov. 4 and the last day to request that ballots be mailed to the voter is Oct. 30. The last day to register to vote in the election is Oct. 9.
Among the items on the ballot are the election of a presiding county commissioner, Third District state representative, U.S. senator, state auditor, Sixth District U.S. representative and a county sales tax issue to fund the construction of a new city/county law enforcement center.
