Princeton Council Meets
The Princeton City Council approved several requests and discussed Calamity Jane Day activities during a meeting Thursday night.
City Clerk Keri Stamper said the council gave permission for the Princeton School District to put up gates at the intersections of College and Coleman and Ballew and Coleman during football games. This will allow for only two entrances to the football field rather than four, which was what was allowed previously.
Patsy Holt, representing the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, discussed Calamity Jane Day activities with the council and reported that the Boy Scouts have agreed to do the cleanup following the celebration later this month. Derry Auction was given permission to conduct sales in the fair barn on Sept. 15 and Oct. 24. Also approved was a liquor license for the new owner of Snappy?s.
The next meeting of the Princeton City Council will be Oct. 7.
