Gordon E. Cox, a 60-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002.

Gordon E. Cox, a 60-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe.
There is a scheduled family visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 6, 2002) at the Lindley Funeral Home. General visitation is in progress until 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cox was born in Trenton on Jan. 15, 1942, the son of Albert and Patricia Graham Cox. In 1964, he married Carol Shaffer in Kansas City. She survives of the home. He attended Saline and Princeton schools. He graduated in 1968 magna cum lauda from Truman State University, where he was a member of Blue Key. He was a 1973 graduate of the UMKC School of Law, where he was a member of the Bench and Robe and Order of the Coif. He practiced law for the past 29 years with Cleaveland, Macourbrie and Cox, L.L.C. in Chillicothe.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cox is survived by one son, Christopher Cox and his wife, Sarah, of New York, NY; and two grandchildren , Maxwell and Victoria Cox of New York, NY.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his father and one infant sister, Doris Jean Cox.
