Ruby Virginia Collins, an 82-year-old resident of Princeton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Ruby Virginia Collins, an 82-year-old resident of Princeton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Graveside services and burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Princeton Cemetery. Rev. Guy Olin Thomas will officiate under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton.

Open visitation and viewing is in progress at the funeral home, where the family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002).

Mrs. Collins was born on Oct. 24, 1919 in Mercer County, the daughter of Harvey and Ona Ragan Mullins. She was united in marriage to George Harold Collins on Dec. 29, 1961. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1996. She lived nearly all of her life in Mercer County. She worked as a practical nurse at the Axtell Community Hospital in Princeton for several years, retiring in 1981, and was a member of the Fairley Baptist Church, north of Princeton.

Mrs. Collins is survived by one son, Lee Dodson and his wife, Evey, of Colona, IL; two daughters, Donna Paxton and her husband, Rick, of Marion, IA and Sharon Rentfrow and her husband, LaVerne, of Trenton; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Cora Mullins of Davenport, IA; and one nephew, James Mullins, also of Davenport.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Gala Foster; one son, Dale Dodson; one granddaughter, Lesa King; and one brother, Joseph Mullins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Wright Memorial Hospice of Trenton. These may be mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
