Cleo Francis Wyant, a 63-year-old resident of Linneus, passed away at his home on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002 at the Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton.

There will be a family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe and from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Mr. Wyant was born on Aug. 12, 1939, the son of Ova and Irene Wyant Reger in Milan. On May 5, 1962 he married Karen Ann Potter in Trenton. She survives of the home. Mr. Wyant graduated from Linneus High School in 1958. After graduation, he worked at the International Harvester until 1966, then he moved to Galt, where he began farming, which he continued until 1985 in Chula. Then he moved the family to California, where he worked construction. In 1991, he purchased a farm and hog operation in Linneus and continued to farm until his death. While farming, Mr. Wyant enjoyed participating in various organizations, including being a member of the Livinston County R-III school board, the Chula Community Center Board, 4-H leader, and received a Livingston County Farm Family Award. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and an active member of the Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wyant is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Paula Wyant of Chillicothe and Aaron and Gina Wyant of Paris; his parents, Ova and Irene Reger of Milan; a mother-in-law, Kathryn Potter of Chillicothe; and four grandchildren, Alex, Erica and Adam Minnis of Chillicothe and Haydon Wyant of Paris.

Mr. Wyant was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Rae Wyant.
