Edith M. Manning, a 95-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002.

Edith M. Manning, a 95-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 at the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held at the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe.

There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002 and from 8 a.m. until service time at the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Mrs. Manning was born on Feb. 14, 1907, the daughter of Lonnie Ellsworth and Violet Hessenflow Dudley. On April 10, 1929 she married Loyal Manning in Trenton. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1993.

Mrs. Manning is survived by three sons, Bill Manning of Mesa, AZ, Charles Manning of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Harold Manning of Mooresville; four daughters, Coline Porter of Trenton, Carol McHugh of Sunrise, FL, Delores Spainhour of Warrensburg and Joyce Lengyel of Lake Ozark; two brothers, William Clendon Dudley of Roseburg, OR and Levi Dudley of Mooresville; 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Manning; one brother, Leo Dudley; three sisters, Mary Lena Manning, Dorothy Snyder and Viola Dudley; one grandson, Stephen Michael Kling; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Jill Manning.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgewood Cemetery. These may be left at or mailed to the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO.
