The Grundy County Republican Central Committee elected its officers to serve a two-year term when members held a reorganizational meeting Tuesday night at Royal Inn Pizza.

The Grundy County Republican Central Committee elected its officers to serve a two-year term when members held a reorganizational meeting Tuesday night at Royal Inn Pizza.

Judy Darby of Spickard was re-elected as chairman of the committee. Other officers re-elected were Paul Jackson of Trenton, vice chairman; Becky McDonald of Galt, secretary; Bill Robbins of Trenton, treasurer; and Carolyn Berry of Trenton, assistant treasurer.

Several persons were appointed to fill vacancies on the committee. They include Joe and Sarah DeVorss, Harrison Township; Janet Perry, Madison Township; and Rhonda McIntosh, Washington Township. Positions to be filled include committeeman and committee woman for both the third ward of Trenton and Jackson Township as well as committteewoman for Lincoln Township.

The committee is scheduled to meet again on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Royal Inn Pizza to finalize plans for the Republican Party booth at the Missouri Day Festival. The meeting will be at 7 p.m.
