Velma I. Clark, a 60-year-old resident of Milan, passed away Thursday evening, June 27, 2002 at her home.

Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Rev. William Pitts officiated. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Casketbearers were Tony Hollon, Bill Hayes, Dale Morris, Wayne Marsh, Steve Pipes and Shane Linhart.

Mrs. Clark was born on April 5, 1942, south of Humphreys, the daughter of Bonnie and Osie Reed Walker. She married Walter Leroy Clark at Milan on May 21, 1960. He survives. She grew up in Laredo but spent most of her life in Milan, where she was employed by ConAgra Frozen Foods for 35 years. Her entire life was dedicated to family and friends. She loved collecting small ceramic pigs and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons, Todd Clark and Terry Clark of Milan; one daughter-in-law, Marcijo M. Clark; four grandchildren, Aaron Clark of St. Louis, Danny Ray Clark of Milan and Amber and Becca Clark of Milan; one great-granddaughter, Grace Clark of St. Louis; her mother, Osie Walker of Trenton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Veda and Norman Stuart and Mildrend Hammond, all of Trenton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roy and Pat Walker of Kansas City and L.J. Walker of Pheonix, AZ; her mother-in-law, Faye Clark of Milan; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Bonnie Clark of Burlington, IA, Wendell Clark of Excelsior Springs, Judy and David Brose of Leavenworth, KS, Gary Clark of Iowa, Ginger Clark and Greg and Paula Clark of Stronghurst, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Clark; her parents; one brother, Carl Walker; her father-in-law, Raymond Clark; and one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Clark.
