Grundy County 4-H members participated in the annual Contest Day activities Saturday at Geyer Hall on the campus of North Central Missouri College.

Grundy County 4-H members participated in the annual Contest Day activities Saturday at Geyer Hall on the campus of North Central Missouri College.
Lea Ann Griffin and Rebekah Maxwell were chosen to represent the county in the state contest in public speaking, 14-and-over, while Emily Anderson will participate in the 13-and-under category.
Miss Anderson will also represent the county in the soyfood contest while Rebekah, Dinah and Sarah Maxwell will represent the county in the agri-foods contest. These demonstrations must use a food product produced by a Missouri company or producers, give background information on the company of producers and provide nutrition and preparation information.
Chosen to give general demonstrations at state were Lea Ann Griffin, Katie Kinney, Sarah Maxwell, Kenton Kinney and Jason Ausberger. Rebekah and Dinah Maxwell will give a team demonstration at the state level.
Lea Ann Griffin, Freddie Griffin and Pake Croy gave general demonstrations that were chosen for Interstate. Other general demonstrations were given by Chanel Pash, Amanda Stiner, Ashley Stiner, Jessica Pash, Tabby Glenn, Crystal Pash, Maerissa Knapp, Courtney Leeper, Kade Kinney, Joshua Maxwell, Matt Ausberger, Kayla Bower, Micah Knapp, Charlene Altenderfer and Emily Anderson.
Freddie Griffin was chosen to do his ?electric theater? demonstration at both Interstate and state. The demonstration was on Chex Mix. Other ?electric theater? demonstrations going to state were given by lea Ann Griffin, Katie Kinney and Kade Kinney.
The Oak Leaf Achievers 4-H Club was chosen to represent the county with a skit at Interstate in October. Rebekah and Sarah Maxwell will represent Grundy County in the talent competition at Interstate. Others participating in the Share the Fun activity included the Rabbit Ridge Rustlers-White 4-H Club, the Rabbit Ridge Rustlers-Green 4-H Club and Charlene Altenderfer.
Participating in Power Point were Katie Kinney, Matt Ausberger, Kenton Kinney and Kade Kinney. Clover Kids participating in Show and Tell were Tanner Hudson, Mason Croy and Hailey Johnson.

The Grundy County Horseman-ship 4-H Club presented a video on the history of their club for the centennial celebration. The video was prepared by Carrol and Brent Key and Joanna Anderson and features the Grundy County 4-H program.
