Della Foster, a 96-year-old resident of Davenport, IA, and former resident of Galt, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt. Bro. Stan Richardson will officiate. Burial will be in the Berry Cemetery north of Galt.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the funeral home.
Mr. Foster was born on April 26, 1906 in Milan, the daughter of Charles and Mary Sims Rusk. She was united in marriage to Terry Estle Foster on July 3, 1924 in Trenton. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1969. They lived all their married lives in the Galt area.
Mrs. Foster is survived by three sons, Ray Foster of Silvis, IL, George Foster of Davenport, IA, and Clyde Foster of Osgood; four daughters, Mary Louise Osborn of Davenport, IA, Lavon Pickens of Orange Vale, CA, Charlotte Glass of Wichita, KS and Lois Covey of Buffalo, IA; and 132 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons, Ralph Dale Foster and Beverly Jack Foster; two sons, Jim Foster and Terry Ronald Foster; and two daughters, Myrtle Lorraine Foster and Elizabeth Jane Hemphill.
