Gladys Alexander, an 82-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe on Monday, June 17, 2002.

Gladys Alexander, an 82-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe on Monday, June 17, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Lock Springs Cemetery in Lock Springs.
There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 10 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Wedneseday, June 19, 2002 and from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the Lindley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Sampsel on Jan. 28, 1930, the daughter of Roger and Elizabeth Stephens Buchanan. On Sept. 9, 1939, she married Neil W. Alexander in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death in August 1997. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lock Springs and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by one daughter, Janice McMillan and her husband, Cannon, of Lock Springs; one sister, Mary Boyd of Chillicothe; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Maxine Brown of Independence; three grandchildren, Rick Renfro of Trenton and Scott Renfro and Trena Keller of Chillicothe; four great-grandchildren, Michael Renfro, Angela Keller and Ethan Keller of Chillicothe and Misty Meeker of Trenton; and seven nieces and nephews, Terry Brown of Olathe, KS, Sherry Palmer of Purdin, Sherry Sensenich of Brookfield, Joyce Mollohan of Chillicothe, Charles Buchanan of San Francisco, CA, Gladys Marie Vancaster of Lodi, CA and Linda Clemets of Warrensburg.
Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Buchanan, and his wife, Inez.
