Earl ?Bub? Doan Jr., a 59-year-old resident of Holden, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner, KS. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Spring Hill, KS.
Mr. Doan was born on Oct. 11, 1942 in Hamilton, OH , the son of Earl Sr. and Sarah Edith Richardson Doan. He moved to Kansas in 1962, living in the Kansas City area till moving to Holden. He was an over the road truck driver for teamsters local #41. He married ?Flo? Flossie M. Bennett on April 8, 1961 in Glendale, AZ. She survives of the home. He enjoyed his family, fishing and camping.
Mr. Doan is survived by one son, Earl James Doan of Holden; one daughter, Brenda S. Stephens of St. Joseph; two brothers, Albert Lee Doan of Pittsburgh, KS and Richard Dean Doan of Ottawa, KS; three sisters, Delores Brown of Mapleton, KS, Hattie Mae Siron of Mound City, KS and Bonnie J. Doan of Pleasanton, KS; and three grandchildren, Kurt, Riley and Laura Ballinger.
Mr. Doan was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carol Y. Kitchell and Ruth R. Breese.
