According to information provided by Superintendent Andy Anderson, the board set fees for the preschool program at $6 per day or $3 per day for those eligible for free and reduced rates. These rates are the same as last year. The district has applied for a fourth-cycle grant for preschool and is eligible for $28,000.
In other business, it was announced that the first session of summer school for grades four through six, will end Friday, with the second session for students in grades one through three, scheduled to begin Monday and end June 28. Board members learned that Allen Reger has been accepted at the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing at Maryville and will also attend the Missouri Scholars Academy. Board members also appointed Anderson as the federal programs coordinator and equalized all funds in the budget.
