The Law Enforcement Committee for the proposed new jail met Monday afternoon with Brock Pfost of White Cloud Engineering to review information and provide input so that specifications and preliminary drawings of the planned facility can be completed.
Committee secretary Connie McCloud said Pfost will be meeting with Sheriff Greg Coon and Police Chief Bob Lewis to get additional information as to what items would be needed for the jail, including materials for both the interior and exterior of the structure. That information, along with other items discussed at Monday?s meeting, will be used to formulate the information that will be distributed at public and organizational meetings prior to the planned tax levy vote for the jail in November.
