Anne Frances Brod, an 88-year-old resident of Bethany, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

Anne Frances Brod, an 88-year-old resident of Bethany, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Private family viewing and services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the Hamilton Cemetery, west of Modena, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service. Kenneth Wilson will officiate.
Mrs. Brod was born at Nebraska City, NE on Sept. 23, 1913, the daughter of Louis and Mamie Johnson Brod. She was united in marriage to Russell Brod in Rock Port. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1994. The couple lived on a farm in Nebraska until moving to a farm north of Modena in 1940. She loved gardening, crocheting and watching television. She was a member of the Modena Baptist Church.
Mrs. Brod is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Hamilton and her husband, Cloyde, of Princeton and Darlene Edwards and her husband, Max, of Edwardsville, KS; one son, Eugene Brod and his wife, Katherine, of Edwardsville, KS; one step-son, Dwight Brod of Talmage, NE; three sisters, Nellie Ramold of Tennessee, Doris Giles of Tulsa, OK and Helen Cooper of Pensacola, FL; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brod was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
