The United States Census Bureau released information Thursday comparing the median incomes for counties in Missouri from 1990 to 2000.

The United States Census Bureau released information Thursday comparing the median incomes for counties in Missouri from 1990 to 2000.

The 2000 median income in Grundy County was $27,333 compared to the 1990 median of $18,084. The 1990 median income adjusted for inflation would have been $23,593, indicating an almost 16 percent increase from the inflation adjusted 1990 figure. Other area counties with their 2000 median incomes, 1990 incomes adjusted for inflation and the percent of increase were: Daviess, $30,855, $23,942, 28.9; Harrison, $28,707, $22,779, 26; Mercer, $29,640, $21,695, 36.6; Putnam, $26,282, $20,286, 29.6; Sullivan, $26,107, $20,647, 26.4; and Livingston, $32,290, $28,242, 14.3.
