Lewis Albert Cunningham, an 89-year-old resident of Combine, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Sunflower Park Nursing Home in Kaufman, TX.

Lewis Albert Cunningham, an 89-year-old resident of Combine, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Sunflower Park Nursing Home in Kaufman, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2002 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Bro. Guy Olin Thomas will officiate. There is no scheduled family visitation planned at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Trenton Masonic Cemetery in Trenton, following military graveside rites.

Mr. Cunningham was born on Nov. 9, 1912 at Bucklin, KS, the son of Nathanal P. and Eliza Ellen Plowman Cunningham. He served in the United States Army and in 1946, he was married to Julia Munn in Olathe, KS. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 1978. During his adult working life, Mr. Cunningham worked for Griffin Wheel in Kansas City, KS, as a maintanence electrician. The couple moved to the Dallas area in September 1978 to be near his children. Mr. Cunningham was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 124 for over 60 years.

Mr. Cunningham is survived by two daughters, Nancy, now Mrs. Benton Prince of Combined, TX and Jane, now Mrs. Jim Ridgway of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, Amy, Jason, Libby, Zachary, Sarah and Becky; and three great-grandchildren; Courtley, Colton and Tanner.
