The Adult Education and Literacy Program operated from North Central Missouri College has announced its summer schedule.

All class sites will remain open through the summer months. The schedule is as follows:

Bethany, North Central Career Center, Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Brookfield, Park Baptist Church, 121 E. Park . Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Chillicothe, Garrison School Building, 209 Henry St., Tuesday and Thursday., 9 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Hamilton, Penney High School, Tuesday and Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.

New Hope, 3300 Pleasant Plain, Trenton, Mon. – Fri., 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Princeton, United Methodist Church, 804 E. Main, Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m.

Trenton, AEL Center, Ritze Building, Crowder Rd.. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Unionville, Putnam R-I High School, Putnam County Library, Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m.

Credit Recovery Class, Garrison School, 209 Henry, Chillicothe, Monday and Tuesday, 4 to 6 p.m.

“We want to be able to continue serving the Green Hills area throughout the summer months,” says John Stains, AEL Director. “We look forward to continuing the high quality of service at all our class sites and hope those in need of help will come to see us.”

Adult Education & Literacy provides services in:

? Basic Education Skills for adults who need to work on improving basic reading, writing and math skills;

? GED preparation for adults who wish to work on passing the GED test;

? English as a Second Language for non-English speaking adults who wish to improve on reading, writing, and math skills, in addition to preparing them for the citizenship test;

? ACT preparation for adults who are required to take the ACT in order to pursue post-secondary schooling; and

? Credit Recovery for high school students who wish to recover credits failed and graduate on time.

NCMCs AEL program is supported by local, state and federal funds and currently operates in the Chillicothe, Trenton, Brookfield, Bethany, Princeton and Hamilton. For more information, persons can stop by their local centers, go on-line to www.ncmc.cc.mo.us or call 660-359-6687.
