Ruthe L. Strasak, an 84-year-old resident of 1745 Surfer Point in Trenton, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the Wright Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for a few hours.

Ruthe L. Strasak, an 84-year-old resident of 1745 Surfer Point in Trenton, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the Wright Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for a few hours. She was admitted to Wright Memorial Hospital after being discharged from St. Luke?s Hospital in Kansas City, where she had been a patient for about a week.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Daryl Mayfield officiated. Burial was held today (Monday, May 13, 2002) in the Evergreen Cemetery, located near Oshkosh, NE.
Ms. Strasak was born on May 26, 1917 at Alliance, NE, the daughter of James H. and Odessa Wier Strasak. She graduated from Oshkosh, NE high school in 1934 and then moved to Denver, CO in 1940. She was employed as an accountant for over 30 years, until she retired from the Steffans Manufacturing Plant in Denver. She moved to Trenton in 1997 to be near her niece, Donna Wilson. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Oshkosh, NE.
Ms. Strasak is survived by Margaret Hamilton of the home in Trenton; two nieces, Donna, now Mrs. Gary Wilson of Trenton, and Sharon, now Mrs. Gary Toombs of Bethany; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Ms. Strasak was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Strasak.
