Margaret L. Ginther, an 84-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe.

Margaret L. Ginther, an 84-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Botts Cemetery, north of Meadville.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home, where friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Mrs. Ginther was born in Meadville on Dec. 21, 1917, the daughter of Robert D. and Lulu B. Jackson Thompson. She graduated from Brookfield High School in Brookfield and from Northeast Misouri State Teacher?s College in Kirksville with a bachelor of science degree in education. She was married to Lawrence Ginther on June 6, 1943 in Chillicothe. He survives of the home. Mrs. Ginther moved to Chillicothe from Meadville in 1945. She was a school teacher, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, the Retired Teacher?s Association, past member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Women?s Missionary Union.
In addition to her huband, Mrs. Ginther is survived by two daughters, Peggy Rush and her husband, Sandy, of Kansas City and Jeanette Fuhr and her husband, Leo, of Trenton; one son, David Ginther and his wife, Julie, of Dallas, TX; one brother, Harold Thompson of Quincy, IL; seven grandchildren, Amy and E.J. Rush of Mesa, AZ, Jessica Rush Wardlow of Kansas City, Brian Fuhr of Lawrence, KS, Brenda Fuhr of Trenton and Katie and Claire Ginther of Dallas, TX.
Mrs. Ginther was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lloyd, Raymond and Karle Thompson; and two sisters, Gladys Thompson and Pauline Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Home of the Alzheimer?s Association. These may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family.
