Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments and Eastview Manor Care Center will be observing National Nursing Home Week during the next two weeks.

Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments and Eastview Manor Care Center will be observing National Nursing Home Week during the next two weeks.

Eastview Manor began its observance on Monday, with activities to run through Sunday. Monday was 50s Day, with a picnic and musical entertainment held.

Today was Western Day, with the men being served a porch picnic and church services conducted by Dockery Chapel. Wednesday will be Hat Day, with Barb Spencer?s class from Trenton High School performing at 9:30 a.m., followed by musical entertainment by Chelsea Woodard, an eighth grader at Trenton Middle School, at 1:30 p.m. An open house is scheduled from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Hawaiian Day will be observed on Thursday, with the women being treated to a porch picnic for lunch. Garden Club will be held at 1:30 p.m., with a variety show scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday will be Dressy Day, with a balloon release scheduled for 10 a.m., and the Mother?s Day Tea scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The Mic-O-Say Dancers are scheduled to perform at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, with activities continuing on Sunday with Sunday School led by Bill Prindle at 9:30 a.m. and musical entertainment by the Watkins Family scheduled at 1:30 p.m.

On May 13, van rides will be given in the morning with the TMS Showstoppers performing at 1:30 p.m.

On May 14, residents will travel to the Brad Bruse farm to see the animals, with church services led by St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. Residents will also go to the Bruse Farm on May 15, with musical entertainment to be provided by Jerry and Eva Henderson at 1:30 p.m.

On May 16, musical entertainment will be provided by Mike Arnold at 1:30 p.m., and by Goldie Campbell at 6:30 p.m.

Jean Day will be observed on May 17, with musical entertainment to be provided by Shirley Berry at 1:30 p.m. and the Jamesport Mennonite Youth Group at 7:15 p.m.

A movie and popcorn will be featured on May 18 at 1:30 p.m.

At Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments, the observance will be held Sunday, May 12 through Friday, May 17.

Activities will begin with church services at 2 p.m., Sunday, with the Mother?s Day Tea scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Monday will be Cowboy and Indian Day, with a fishing trip scheduled for 9 a.m. and a balloon release planned at 1:30 p.m. The Trenton High School Colorguard will perform at 1:45 p.m., and students from Two Rivers Martial Arts giving a demonstration at 7 p.m.

Tuesday will be Puttin? on the Glitz Day, with Glamour Shots to be taken from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Trenton Middle School Showstoppers will perform at 2 p.m., and dancers from Gayla?s Dance Studio will perform at 7 p.m.

Wednesday will be T-Shirt and Hat Day, with games scheduled for 10 a.m., and a fish fry planned at noon. A birthday party with homemade ice cream will be held at 2 p.m. and karoake is planned at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday will be 60?s Day, with miniature horses at the home at 10 a.m. and garden club scheduled for 1:30 p.m. A patio party will be held at 2 p.m., with Eddie Hague at the home at 6:30 p.m.

Friday will be Patriotic Day, with a bus and van ride at 9 a.m., and a cookout to be held for lunch. Bingo is planned at 2 p.m. and the Jamesport Mennonite Youth will perform at 6:30 p.m.
