Donald Ray McCullough, a 72-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2002 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Donald Ray McCullough, a 72-year-old resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2002 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services were held at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe.
Mr. McCullough was born on Sept. 27, 1929 in Osgood, the son of Fred and Ethel McCullough. On Feb. 20, 1953, he married Pat Kelsey in Chillicothe. She survives of the home. He was a 1948 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, vice president of the Midwest Bluegrass Promoter?s Association, a member of the First Christian Church in Chillicothe and a past president of the Chillicothe Optimist Club. Mr. McCullough spent the last 21 years promoting Bluegrass music with two festivals a year at the McCullough Park Campground in Chillicothe.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McCullough is survived by one son, Terence McCullough; one daughter, Lisa Hill and her husband, Duane; one brother, Kenneth McCullough and his wife, June; one granddaughter, Andrea Engler, and her husband, Tracy, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. McCullough was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene McCullough; and one sister, Minetta Highshew.
