The Spickard R-2 Board of Education offered a teaching contract and authorized bids during a special meeting on Wednesday night.
Principal Ruth Ann Shipps said the board agreed to extend a contract to a teacher for the Title I program. The name of that individual will be released once the contract has been signed. Approval was given to seek bids to remove and replace tiles in the kitchen and cafeteria areas.
The next scheduled meeting of the R-2 Board of Education is May 22.
