Leona ?Bennett? Kinkade, a 79-year-old resident of Albany, formerly of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City.

Leona ?Bennett? Kinkade, a 79-year-old resident of Albany, formerly of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Albany and later at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today (Thursday, April 25, 2002) at the McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Gallatin, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.
Mrs. Kinkade was born on April 19, 1923, the daughter of Sam B. and Esther ?Bryant? Wiley. She married N.C. Bennett in 1951. They lived in St. Joseph until 1957, when they moved to Gallatin. He preceded her in death in 1975. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Gallatin for 20 years. Mrs. Kinkade was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church and a former member of the Gallatin and Raytown Baptist churches.
Mrs. Kinkade is survived by two sons, Bill McMillian of Trenton and John Bennett of Urbandale, IA; three daughters, Bettie Harris (Hockett) of Prairie Village, KS, Joyce Worrell of Albany and Joanne Welker of Webb City; two step-sons, Terry McLaughlin of Columbus, OH and Dennis McLaughlin of Gilroy, CA; two brothers, Lewis Wiley of Independence and Sam Wiley of Stanberry; two sisters, Lois M. Heistand of Independence and LaVonne Gregg of Hawarden, IA; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Albany First Baptist Church Building Fund. The family also suggests that if Albany residents prefer to send flowers that they be sent directly to the church.
