James M. ?Jim? Busick, a 72-year-old Newtown native, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, where he had resided since Dec. 11, 2001.

James M. ?Jim? Busick, a 72-year-old Newtown native, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, where he had resided since Dec. 11, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the Newtown Christian Church in Newtown. Bro. Denny Daum and Bro. Tom Mehaffy will offiicate. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery.
General visitation is in progress at the Payne Funeral Home. A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening (Monday, April 22, 2002) at the Newtown Christian Church.
Mr. Busick was born on Nov. 10, 1929 in Newtown, the son of Paul and Reba Markel Busick. Mr. Busick served one year with the United States Army. On Oct. 11, 1951, he was married to Charlotte Purdy in Newtown. He owned and operated Jim?s Radio and TV in Newtown for 45 years. He was a member of the Newtown Christian Church.
Mr. Busick is survived by his wife, Charlotte, of the home; three daughters, Becky Fairley of Newtown, Debbie Hummel of Lawson and Alecia Kendall of Farley; two sons, Danny Busick of Newtown and Larry Busick of Kansas City; three sisters, Donna Brough of Boulder, CO, Shirley Morris of Sun City, AZ and Linda Weston of Lynchburg, VA; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Busick was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son; and one infant daughter.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Newtown Christian Church building fund.
