Melvin Loveall, a 74-year-old resident of 1705 E. Fifth St. in Trenton, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where had been a resident since Jan. 22, 2002.

Melvin Loveall, a 74-year-old resident of 1705 E. Fifth St. in Trenton, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where had been a resident since Jan. 22, 2002.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2002 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton with military graveside rites following.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2002 at the mortuary.

Mr. Loveall was born on Sept. 29, 1927 in Cedar County, the son of William and Alice Bland Loveall. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was married to Charlene Jordan on May 23, 1953 in Roswell, NM. They lived most of their married life in Trenton. He worked as a lineman at Grundy Electric for several years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the VFW Joseph L. Norton Post #919.

Mr. Loveall is survived by his wife, Charlene, of Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton; two daughters, Janeen Couch of Chillicothe and Billie McKay of Lathrop; one brother, Tom Loveall of Lamar; three sisters, Jane Kibler of Wichita, KS, Evelyn Johnston and Louise Loveall, both of Lamar; and three grandchildren, Lauren Couch, Levi Coats and Shelby Coats.

Mr. Loveall was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Kenneth Loveall; and two sisters, Willie Lloyd and Mary Jo Parish.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Church of Christ.
