Ronald M. Ishmael, a 70-year-old resident of 1118 E. 13th St. in Trenton, passed away Thursday morning, April 11, 2002 at his home.

Ronald M. Ishmael, a 70-year-old resident of 1118 E. 13th St. in Trenton, passed away Thursday morning, April 11, 2002 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2002 at the Martin Cemetery, north of Tindall. Rev. Lyle Watkins will officiate. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Joseph L. Norton Post No. 919 VFW.

The body is at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. There is no scheduled family visitation.

Mr. Ishmael was born Jan. 28, 1932 in Trenton, the son of Robert A. and Olive M. Emerine Ishmael. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1949. He worked for the Stone Motor Co. as a mechanic for 12 years, then worked as a locomotive fireman for five years and as an engineer for 16 years, both on the Rock Island Railroad. He also worked for six years for the United States Sugar Corp. as an engineer. He served two years in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Major Dale Stepp American Legion Post No. 31 and Bevleot and Protective Order of Elks No. 801 of Trenton.

There are no immediate survivors.

Mr. Ishmael was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wright Memorial Hospital. These may be left at the Slater Funeral Home.
